Please contact Avery Mountaineering to book and obtain payment details. Your course cannot be guaranteed until payment is received. All payments must be made in full six weeks before attending any course or experience. If full payment is not received six weeks in advance of booked dates your course will be assumed as cancelled and the dates may be resold.
Avery Mountaineering may collect information from you for correspondence and booking purposes but will never share it with third party organisations for marketing purposes without your consent. Avery Mountaineering reserves the right to share your information with any external instructors involved with managing your safety or with any emergency services involved in the unlikely event of an incident.
It is your responsibility to declare any medical conditions, injury or illness when booking and/or any changes before participation. This is essential for everybody's safety and will be remain confidential. Avery Mountaineering will make every effort to accommodate each participants needs, however, in some cases may suggest an alternative activity if appropriate.
All cancellations must be made in writing by email, including the name you used to make the original booking. In the event of cancellation by the client, Avery Mountaineering will try to resell the dates you have booked. If the dates are sold you will receive a 100% refund of all monies paid for the booking. If not, then cancellations with four or more weeks’ notice receive a 75% refund. Two to four weeks' notice will receive a 50% refund. Cancellations made with less than two weeks' notice will receive no refund. Avery Mountaineering doesn't accept liability for travel or accommodation expenses.
All alterations requests must be made in writing by email, including the name you used to make the original booking at least four weeks in advance of the original booking. Avery Mountaineering will try to accommodate your request but in the event this not possible then the client cancellation policy will apply. Avery Mountaineering doesn't accept liability for any accommodation or travelling expenses.
The mountains can be a dynamic place, where weather conditions and other factors impact on safety. In the event that Avery Mountaineering cancels or alters your course you will be notified as soon as possible. Where possible Avery Mountaineering will attempt to make suitable adjustments. If no agreeable adjustment can be made then you will receive a full refund for your booked activity. Avery Mountaineering doesn't accept liability for any accommodation or travelling expenses.
Technical equipment required for the course (eg: ropes, helmets and harnesses for a climbing course) will be provided. Clients are responsible for any equipment loaned and Avery Mountaineering reserves the right to charge for its loss or damage. Personal equipment, clothing or footwear are not provided unless otherwise agreed. Clients are, of course, more than welcome to bring their own technical equipment but do so at their own risk; equipment deemed unsuitable or unsafe will not be permitted.
Unless otherwise agreed, transport is not provided and Avery Mountaineering cannot guarantee the proximity of public transport to course locations. Clients are reminded it is their responsibility to get to the course venue as specified when booking. During the course it may be necessary for a client to utilise their own vehicle, Avery Mountaineering does not accept any liability for loss, damage or injury arising from this. Clients may also choose to transport other clients and/or equipment during the course and are reminded that this is done entirely at their own risk.
British Mountaineering Council Participation Statement: The BMC recognises that climbing and mountaineering are activities with a danger of personal injury or death. Participants in these activities should be aware of and accept these risks and be responsible for their own involvement. By booking a course you are aware and accept these risks and will be responsible for your own actions and involvement. Avery Mountaineering will teach you how to manage these, but can never completely remove them.
Avery Mountaineering holds public liability insurance however recommends that you seek your own personal travel/accident insurance. Avery Mountaineering doesn't accept liability for travel or accommodation expenses or for loss or damage to personal possessions or property.
Avery Mountaineering reserves the right to refuse participation for someone improperly prepared or who is otherwise behaving in a way that may put themselves or others at risk. Clients may choose to remove themselves from a course at any time but do so at their own risk. Avery Mountaineering doesn't accept liability for loss or damage as a result of any participant choosing to disregard instruction or for any expenses due to participation refusal.
Avery Mountaineering may take photos to be used for marketing purposes but respects that not all participants are comfortable with this. It is your responsibility to declare if this is the case. Avery Mountaineering doesn't accept liability for photos taken and/or shared by other clients.
